About the Role:

The Director, Strategy & Corporate Development, plays a critical execution‑focused role, providing analytical support, content development, project management, and communication coordination for priority CEO initiatives. This role ensures the operating cadence of the Office runs smoothly, materials are high‑quality, and cross‑functional commitments are tracked and delivered on time. It is ideal for a high‑potential, analytically strong operator with excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Initiative Management

  • Manage discrete strategic workstreams, ensuring clear project plans, timelines, and deliverables aligned with CEO and ELT expectations.

  • Conduct research, analytics, benchmarking, and synthesis to support strategic planning and corporate development initiatives.

Content & Materials Development

  • Draft and refine CEO meeting materials, briefing notes, strategic presentations, and follow‑up summaries.

  • Prepare content for CEO, Board, and senior executive meetings, ensuring materials are accurate, concise, actionable, and aligned with CEO messaging.

Cross‑Functional Coordination

  • Serve as the primary coordinator between the Office of the CEO and functional/business leads to track decision requests, data needs, and action follow‑through.

  • Support the governance routines for enterprise strategy — including planning calendars, review templates, and milestone management.

Insights & Analysis

  • Consolidate inputs from business units and functions into CEO‑ready summaries.

  • Conduct scenario analysis, risk identification, and issue framing to support executive decision‑making.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain tools, dashboards, and trackers that support CEO visibility into enterprise execution.

  • Ensure high‑quality process management across CEO reviews, internal updates, and external preparation cycles.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA or Master’s degree from a top institution

  • At least 3-5 years experience in internal or external strategy management consulting, investment banking or insurance industry roles

  • Robust understanding of Commercial Property and Casualty insurance industry

  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to run highly complicated quantitative analysis to support strategic recommendations

  • Strong problem-solver and critical-thinker with endless curiosity and a penchant for thinking the impossible

  • Structured and logical thinker; able to drive projects from initial concept (including hypotheses development and decision frameworks) and design and lead supporting analysis

  • Excellent communication skills in both written and PowerPoint for C-Suite and Board of Directors’ level presentations

  • Deadline-driven, organized and able to multitask

  • Highly self-driven, well-structured yet flexible, able to think strategically / end-to-end

The base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $205,000, plus bonus, and long-term incentive annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications, and work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
