As Sr. Software Developer II, you’ll troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ADABAS and Natural applications, ensuring minimal downtime, support migration efforts, where applicable, and ensure smooth transitions of data and applications, prepare and maintain technical documentation for all developed applications, and provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers on the team.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide subject matter expertise on system architectures.
  • Provide recommendations regarding enhancements to the systems and processes.
  • Lead the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and ongoing support.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
  • Maintain application programs for maximum efficiency and data integrity.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve our development processes.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT related discipline or equivalent experience is required.
  • 7+ years’ experience programming in Natural/ADABAS or comparable languages.
  • Participates in discussions with user departments and systems support persons as to planning new application or the improvement of current applications.
  • Communicate effectively and proficiently with team members as well as end users.
  • Ad-hoc queries, import and export of data, managing data interfaces between our different systems.
  • Strong data analytics skills, specifically in terms of debugging and troubleshooting, program specifications and technical documentation
  • Programming experience in Natural, and the utilization of ADABAS. Experience running Natural processes in batch via JCL and/or SCL, and online.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and updating documentation for procedures, policies, and processes.
  • Ability to work independently but effectively with a team to accomplish team projects and solve technical problems.
