Position Purpose: The pharmacy intern will learn both clinical and business skills that will prepare them for a career in managed care pharmacy. They will primarily work with pharmacists to support clinical and operational quality improvement initiatives. 

Duties:

• Analyze pharmacy/medical claims data to improve quality or cost-effectiveness of care

• Review drug information literature to make evidence-based clinical decisions

• Review literature to determine and implement opportunities to advance health equity

• Support quality initiatives to improve appropriate medication use

• Learn various clinical services that pharmacies and health plans provide to members

• Convey knowledge of clinical savings capabilities and opportunities in applied markets

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent undergraduate coursework completed. Must be enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited university or college in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period.

Pay Range: $21-30/hour

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.
