Job Description:

The Decision Scientist for CVS Caremark & CVS Specialty Marketing Analytics is a pivotal role focused on leveraging advanced analytics to enhance member and payor experience. This position involves analyzing extensive real-time data sets to derive actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making.

The Decision Scientist will lead initiatives aimed at improving member experience and engagement, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business analytics, statistical analysis, and effective communication, enabling them to present compelling narratives and recommendations to senior leadership. This role offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact the member & payor experience within CVS.

Responsibilities:

  • Uncover business opportunities through data driven insights and develop high impact analytical solutions
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to independently explore data and come up with a step-by-step analytical work plan to get desired insights
  • Design, execute and analyze A/B testing programs, iteratively refining test hypotheses based on data-driven insights to further Payor & Member Experience & Engagement for CVS Caremark & CVS Specialty
  • Define, track, and analyze KPIs that align with portfolio objectives to measure project success
  • Effectively communicate analytical solutions / results through compelling narratives and visualizations to stakeholders in an engaging manner to drive business decisions
  • Lead project execution while collaborating with cross-functional teams such as marketing, data engineering, data scientists to ensure correct implementation and alignment with business requirements
  • Understand coding, GIT, documentation, and QA best practices
  • Present recommendations to senior staff and internal clients.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in business analytics, analytical or strategy consulting, or a related field, with a proven ability to communicate and consult effectively with internal and external stakeholders providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior leaders and stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
  • 2+ years of professional experience with SQL and Python ( Pandas )
  • 1+ years statistical background with experience in Experiment Design, A/B testing and ROI analysis
  • 2+ years of experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and presentation/PPT skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Healthcare industry and/or Management consulting firm experience
  • Tableau proficiency & Media Campaign planning & design knowledge is a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Medical Economics, Math, Actuarial Science, Data Science, or a related field required.
  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field or MBA strongly preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$86,520.00 - $173,040.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
