The Department of Neurology at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana seeks a BC/BE Vascular Neurologist for a full-time faculty position at an academic rank determined by level of experience and qualifications. The position comes with an attractive compensation package with guaranteed base salary as well as supplemental pay determined by productivity and potential grants.

We are looking for a dynamic person to help in further growth of North Louisiana’s only Comprehensive Stroke Program.  Qualified candidates will join a multidisciplinary team consisting of vascular neurologists, neurosurgeons, and neuroendovascular radiologists, along with midlevel providers and a Vascular Neurology fellowship training program.   The successful candidate is expected to have an active role in medical student and Neurology resident education and in departmental activities including supervision in resident clinics, grand rounds and didactic conferences. We are able to sponsor J-1 visas.  

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport, in conjunction with Ochsner LSU Health St. Mary, is the only major academic medical center in the area and receives patients from a catchment area with a radius of approximately 75-100 miles which includes a population of approximately 1½ million people. Shreveport is an attractive, comfortable, small southern city with excellent schools, good restaurants, and multicultural opportunities. It is an excellent place to raise children.
