Manager engineering for Providing strategic leadership, professional mentoring, and clear direction to salaried and management personnel engaged in the following areas:

• Engine emission measurement and related data analysis.
• Management and maintenance of emission measurement equipment.
• Configuration and oversight of engine test instrumentation.
• Testing and development of engines, engine components, powertrain systems, and new energy technologies.
• Management of test laboratory facilities and equipment.
• Ensure efficient, safe, and compliant execution of testing and development activities through effective team leadership and technical support, while driving continuous improvement and technological innovation.

What You Will Do:

• Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for engineering teams; motivating and developing project and team leaders.
• Providing specialized engineering technical support and consulting services to various areas of the organization.
• Managing high-impact, short and long duration engineering initiatives and projects; ensuring achievement of engineering plan and product quality.
• Maintaining product release plans and material plans; driving programs to completion on time and within budget.
• Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.

What Skills You Will Have:

Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Technical Excellence: Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

Customer/Market Focus: Understanding of the importance of remaining aware of shifting market priorities and ability to respond to internal and external customer needs in a manner that consistently adds value.

Managing People: Knowledge of processes involved in managing people; ability to lead successful teams, and diligently address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace.

Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

Process Design and Development: Knowledge of process; ability to design, build, and develop a new process, technology.

Required Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as Energy and Power Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or Computer Science.
• Thorough knowledge of the test lab, instrument, equipment, facilities, methods, and tooling.
• Experience leading teams and addressing performance or interpersonal challenges constructively.

• Lean Black belt training
• Project Management Skills

This position requires working onsite five days a week.
