As a Finance Strategy Manager, you will be trusted to develop and implement financial strategies that align with commercials objectives and goals. This includes conducting financial analysis, reviewing market data or trends, and providing recommendations that will provide strong financial performance. You will collaborate with cross functional partners in Legal, Commercial and Finance and coordinate the return on investment and margin analysis to find opportunities to improve important metrics. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Manage the overall strategic deal processes around deal analysis (RFP/Tender), profit/pricing analysis, contract/RFP authoring, approvals, execution, ongoing compliance, performance reporting, and renewals.

• Monitor critical metrics to evaluate the financial performance of approved strategic deals and reviewing the efficiency of implemented strategies.

• Act as a strategic partner to senior management, offering expertise and mentorship on the financial implications of business decisions.

• Work closely with sales, marketing, legal, and finance functions to optimize programs and bring to bear different contracting vehicles for profitable growth and reduced business risk with customers (Hospital, and private centers).

• Meet with DOS weekly and Regional sale manager monthly to ensure alignment with strategic deals and organizational goals.

• Ensure that all contract pricing (EFA) and other financing master data is timely and accurately updated in SAP/Dashboards to drive downstream processing.

• Ensure agreements, bid analysis, or RFP responses are reviewed and approved for consistency, completeness, and compliance with commercial, legal, and financial requirements before being sent to customers.

• Collaborate with commercial, legal, and finance teams as required to address contract terms and conditions that deviate from the approved terms and providing corrective recommendations or presentations to the business and region.

• Influence strategic decision-making with beneficial financial insights and recommendations.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor’s degree in business/finance.

• 8 years of experience in a finance/sales support role, CPA required

• Excellent English verbal/written communication skills

• Advanced understanding of contract management (SAP, Salesforce.com, and SharePoint), pricing, and reporting (BI) systems

• Strong leadership abilities and management skills

• Professional and diplomatic communication with internal and external customers

• Advanced system knowledge: SAP, SAP Business Objects, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access
