About the Role
Workplace Technology at PEXA is responsible for providing the technology tools and services that employees use in their day-to-day work. This includes service desk support, devices, software applications, communication networks and IT infrastructure. Employees are considered the customers of Workplace Technology.
The Application Services Business Partner role serves as the strategic link between Workplace Technology and the different business units. This role is crucial for developing application strategies, identifying solutions, managing services, mitigating risks and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. The goal is to mature Workplace Technology's capabilities to effectively address business challenges through better application lifecycle management.
Key Accountabilities
Strategic Leadership:
• Foster strong relationships with key business areas to understand their needs
• Provide valuable strategic advice and support for Workplace Technology initiatives
• Define clear objectives, goals and metrics to guide the team's delivery
• Develop a robust application portfolio plan, anticipating gaps and managing phase-in/out
Project Delivery:
• Collaborate with PMO and Change teams to prioritise and manage project intake
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
• Understand business unit pain points and define requirements to address them
• Architect solutions, develop business cases and facilitate effective project delivery
Operations:
• Monitor budgets, expenditure and provide financial forecasting input
• Oversee vendor/provider performance and contract management
• Identify risks, develop treatments and maintain business continuity plans
• Ensure integration of applications with security capabilities and effective BAU management
Skills and Experience
• A bachelor's degree in business, accounting, IT or a related field is preferred.
• Solid experience as a business analyst under your belt.
• Tech-savvy with expertise in info systems and process modelling.
• Ability to optimise processes and spot patterns.
• Stakeholder engagement skills.
• Top-notch communication and problem-solving skills - you can explain complex ideas clearly and find smart solutions.
