Reporting to the Maintenance Team Lead, the Millwright is critical in maintaining the assets at the St. Clair Ethanol Plant ensuring best in class asset availability while enhancing their skills and knowledge-sharing with others. The safety-conscious Millwright will install, service, and repair a variety of plant equipment and participate and assist in establishing an environment which reflects craft flexibility and teamwork.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Journeyman Millwright certification required

  • Five or more years of experience working as a certified Millwright

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret equipment specifications, engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables, or study sample parts

  • Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

  • Previous experience working in plant maintenance is preferred

  • Familiar with computerized maintenance management systems (SAP) is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections, repairs, equipment overhauls, and preventative maintenance in a blended workshop and field environment, supporting all industrial machinery and mechanical equipment

  • Assembly, disassembly and installation of piping systems, working closely with other trades

  • Read blueprints, diagrams, maintenance manuals and schematic drawings to determine work procedures

  • Operate rigging and lifting equipment

  • Bolt up and torqueing of piping and equipment

  • Participate in risk assessments, post event failure analysis and root cause discussions, and take part in developing solutions when required

  • Ensure that preventative maintenance guidelines are adhered to and maintain complete and accurate records associated with all preventative maintenance work

  • Review and apply a continuous improvement mindset to safe work practices, procedures, and standards to ensure safe and reliable work execution and to look for continuous improvement opportunities

Location & Other Key Details:

  • You will work out of our St. Clair Ethanol Plant, located in Mooretown, ON

  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours during Outages
