Job Title: Inventory Control Coordinator
Department: Materials / Inventory Management
Reports To: Operation's Manager
Position Summary
The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels within the ERP system by managing cycle count schedules, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring material accuracy across the facility. This role supports production of MDF cabinet doors in a variety of colors by verifying stock, monitoring usage, and ensuring materials are available when needed. The Inventory Control Coordinator works closely with cycle counters, production, and warehouse personnel to uphold accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Push, assign, and monitor daily cycle counts through the ERP system.
Reconcile discrepancies identified during cycle counts and investigate root causes.
Maintain accurate records of MDF materials, including colors, sizes, and usage.
Communicate with production teams to ensure accurate material consumption reporting.
Verify that all materials are properly labeled, stored, and rotated to prevent errors.
Generate and review ERP inventory reports for accuracy and trends.
Collaborate with warehouse and production staff to resolve inventory variances.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual physical inventory counts.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Provide training and guidance to cycle counters and other staff as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or materials handling preferred.
Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or equivalent) required.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
Knowledge of MDF materials, cabinet manufacturing, or related industry a plus.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
Comfortable working in a warehouse and production environment.
