Short Term Contract W2 position

Job Introduction:

Radiation therapists play a crucial role in cancer treatment, directly contributing to patients' health and recovery. The ability to make a significant positive impact on patients' lives can be highly fulfilling.
Location: Our Radiation Therapist career opening is in our Covina & Pomona Clinics

Purpose of job:
Administers radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by a physician, following the established standards and practices of The Oncology Institute.

Key Responsibilities Include:
•    Delivering a prescribed and planned course of radiation therapy to patients
•    Prepares treatment room and equipment for patient
•    Explains all procedures answering any follow up questions patients or family members may have
•    Maintains visual and audio communications with patient during treatment
•    Observes the patient for any unusual reactions or events during and after treatment
•    Reinforces recommendations given to patients by their healthcare professional concerning reaction to treatment and care for radiated area, prevention, or treatment of generalized and local side effects
•    Performs simulation procedures as prescribed by physician and assist in dosimetry procedures

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
ARRT licensure
California License to perform Radiation Therapy
2+ years of related experience

Required Courses/Training:
Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology course plus radiation therapy course OR graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy Program.

Required Certification/Licensure:
Licensed by the California State Department of Health (certified in Radiation Therapy)
ARRT Certification 
Current AHA, BLS, or CPR (Preferred)
