Job Summary:

We are seeking a mid-level Corporate Counsel to join our growing legal team, supporting operations across Latin America and Iberia. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced software M&A environment, providing strategic and hands-on legal support to multiple business units (VBUs) within a global software acquirer group.
The ideal candidate will act as a key legal partner to regional business leaders, helping coordinate and align the work of VBU in-house lawyers, while also assisting with corporate governance, compliance, and transaction execution.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and support VBU Legal Teams and VBUs across LATAM and Iberia, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and compliance with group policies and standards.
  • Advise management and business leaders on day-to-day corporate, contractual, and regulatory matters affecting VBUs.
  • Assist in M&A activities, including due diligence, transaction execution, and post-acquisition integration.
  • Manage external counsel where required and optimize legal spend across the region.
  • Develop and implement legal frameworks, templates, and best practices for recurring legal operations.
  • Monitor and assess legal and regulatory developments in relevant jurisdictions, translating them into practical guidance for internal teams.
  • Foster collaboration and act as a regional liaison between local VBU counsel and the global legal leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Law degree from an accredited university; admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction in LATAM or Iberia.
  • 5–8 years of experience in corporate law, preferably with exposure to international business or software/technology sectors.
  • Experience in M&A transactions, corporate governance, and commercial contracts.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-border legal teams and manage regional legal initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (mandatory).
  • Spanish language skills are a strong plus.
  • Strong business acumen, agility, and ability to provide practical, solutions-oriented advice.
