Summary: - We are looking for an experienced SQL server DBA, with minimum 6+ years of experience, responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical RDBMS, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our databases. This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Prior experience of handling SAP application DB loads and ERP. - The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and maintenance of SQL Server Roles & Responsibilities: - Manage databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems. - Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. - Performance tuning and database design. - Management techniques for Data and logfiles. - Management of high availability technologies like Always on, cluster, log shipping, Replication and mirroring. - Management of cloud environments like AWS and AZURE (PAAS and IAAS DB) - Apply data modelling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations. - Plan and implement disaster recovery strategies to ensure data continuity. - Configure different database monitoring techniques. Actively monitor database performance and availability issues. - Independently analyse, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end - Responsible for Patching and upgrade of SQL DB servers, DB migration activities and DB reorganisation. - Create and maintain technical documentation of database configuration, solutions, procedures and policies Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration. - Hands on experience with database standards and end user applications. - Experience in creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting SSIS/SSRS packages. - Expert knowledge required in SQL Server replication, Always-ON, performance tuning and optimization, troubleshooting and SQL Server internals. - Expertise on handling SAP environments. - Expert level experience with backups, restores and recovery models. - Hands-on on other HA/DR topologies Log Shipping, Mirroring and Clustering for SQL Server. - Familiarity with other database platforms such as MongoDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL - Strong understanding of database administration principles and best practices. - Experience in performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries. - Knowledge of database security and data integrity. - Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies for databases. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 6+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration. - Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
