The Opportunity
The Agency Receivable Management Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing the collection of consolidated financial accountabilities from active and terminated advisors. Job duties include monitoring and collection of receivables from agency distributors, coordinating with the collection agency, referring collection cases to Legal and Compliance, and timely and accurate reporting of outstanding collections and receivable movements.
On the job, you will:
Monitor progress and ensure monthly all business units (BU)/teams provide timely information on the consolidated list of financial accountabilities.
Notify the BUs (Agency Licensing and Benefits, Agency Recruitment, Finance, Distribution Risk and Quality Control) on items that needs to be reconciled with Distribution Accounting.
Draft and issue monthly reminder notices on overdue payments to active advisors copy furnish Sales Management Team (SMT) Operations, Zone Head, and upline leaders to support recovery.
For financial accountabilities 1M and above, coordinate with the SMT/Zone Head to reach out to the advisor and upline leader to push for recovery prior to sending demand letter.
Draft and issue monthly demand letters, signed by the Distribution Operations and Analytics Head, on the final amount for recovery as confirmed by BUs.
Endorsement collection cases to the Collection Agency and regularly track status.
Collection, retention, and storage of proof of delivery and non-delivery of reminder notices, demand letters, and cases endorsed to the Collection Agency.
Release a consolidated report of outstanding amounts for recovery that includes, progress of collection, aging items, tagged as non-recoverable, endorsement for write off and paid/close items.
Consolidate and coordinate recommended actions from outstanding accountabilities from Distribution teams (Agency Licensing and Benefits, Distribution Risk and Quality Control, and Agency Recruitment) and endorse to Agency Financial/Debt Recovery - Committee
For financial accountabilities 150KPhp and above, endorse to Legal & Compliance for assessment and pursuant of further collection charges.
Update the process documentation should there be any proposed changes in the process. Cascade the updated process relevant stakeholders (teams under Agency Distribution and Distribution Accounting).

We are looking for someone with:
A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable management, ideally in a Life Insurance setting.
The ability to work accurately and independently.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
An eye for detail along with excellent analytical skills.
Excellent report writing skills.
Strong time and interpersonal skills with ability to influence and negotiate.
