The Logistics Associate Packer will assist in all areas of the distribution center, to include receiving, recording, stocking, transporting, replenishing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods and supplies. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Reads scanner for locating product and selecting location for product. 
  • Follows commands on warehouse management system to place product in exact locations. 
  • Follows instructions as provided by both a supervisor and a WMS, organizes apparel products in boxes in the Distribution Center. 
  • Lifts boxes up to 50 lbs. repetitively, moves boxes, tears down boxes and sometimes makes boxes – to ensure that Peter Millar can fulfill orders and deliver products to customers. May operate baler machine to organize empty boxes. 
  • Loads and unloads trucks, performs order picking, wraps products, packs, labels products to be shipped and received products. 
  • Uses a PC to access and maintain all warehouse inventory and records within inventory program and Excel. 
  • Responsible for quality control. Ensures no damaged product is sent out and damaged raw materials received are noted and reported to area management. Ensures all quality product is shipped and orders are properly fulfilled. 
  • Ensures meeting all safety and storage regularities for housing of the goods and supplies. 
  • Operates within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs). 
  • Completes all necessary documentation and legal formalities relating to the goods. 
  • Works in other areas of the Distribution Center as needed. 

 

COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to be tenacious in locating product in the distribution center 
  • Must be organized 
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Ability to perform basic math, and computation tasks 
  • Must be reliable, have good time-management skills and have ability to work at a steady pace 
  • Strong problem-solving skills required; ability to research and recall data 
  • Walks, stands, bends, and stoops for 8-10 hours during shift to locate items from orders, organize product and fulfill orders 
  • Repetitious regular lifting of 30-40 pounds; moving of boxes, to access product, up to 50 pounds 
  • Occasional small step stool/ladder usage; obtaining product located on upper shelves 

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous warehouse experience desirable 
  • High school diploma or a GED equivalent from a certified college 
  • Must be able to read and write and communicate in English 
  • Experience working with a computer required; Excel skills preferred.
