Senior Manager, Screw/centrifugal compressor development

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Build the high efficiency and professional advance development team. According to the product development strategy, plan the team HCs and design the O-chart.
Establish the annual performance target and key focus aligning with the supervisor, assign the targets to each team members. Conduct team members’ performance review as schedule.
Make the reasonable work arrangement according to the team members’ competency assessment, Coach the engineers to complete the work. Make the annual training plan with HR to improve the team members’ competence. Focus on the Team building, improve the employees’ engagement.
Lead and participate in knowledge transfer from SMZ, double check the integrity of the document and understand know-why and know-how to design the screw/centrifugal compressor.
Lead to design scroll compressor architecture or components, considering product cost, efficiency, and reliability to create the best product on the market.
Double check and maintain a comprehensive understanding of product design theory and practice.
Double check 2D and 3D drawings for prototypes and mass production.
Develop detailed FMEA designs and qualification plans.
Prepare clear and logical materials for Project Development Process (PDP) reviews.
Utilize quality tooling to solve issues or failures during development.
Lead and file patents for inventions created during daily work.
Organize the coordinate group meetings with internal/external customers / suppliers effectively.
Initiate, execute, and track work plans/activities to meet customer requirements.
Effectively complete assignments using all available resources.
REQUIREMENTS:
Educational Background
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Master preferred.
Work Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience, related to screw/centrifugal compressors mechanical design (not in Lab and Model shop, application, etc.).
Knowledge/Skill level
Manufacturing knowledge of screw/centrifugal compressor is a plus.
Project management skill is a plus
Language Level
Language: Fluent English reading and written are must, simple speaking is a plus, and Japanese is a plus.
Others
Collaborative working mind set is very important across different locations and countries.
Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, CAD software such as SolidWorks, Pro E, etc.
Programing skills is a plus, VB, Excel VBA, C, C++, Matlab, Fortran, etc.
