Are you an Ontario accredited engineer, who would you like to be in a position where you can use a blend of technical capability accumulated over years of experience with strong leadership experience?

As the Supervisor, Technical and Engineering Services, Energy Conservation at Enbridge Gas, you will lead a team of skilled engineers focused on delivering technically robust energy efficiency solutions. Supporting sales teams, program designers, and other internal groups, your team provides detailed technical reviews, project evaluations, and engineering insights to guide the successful implementation of energy conservation initiatives.

Your role is to empower your team, ensuring they have the tools, mentorship, and collaboration they need to succeed. You will coordinate with key internal stakeholders, resolve technical challenges, and uphold high standards of technical quality. Your leadership will ensure that your team operates effectively in delivering impactful solutions while navigating evolving industry requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Empower Your Team: Provide mentorship, direction, and support to a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and technical excellence.

  • Ensure Team Success: Guide your team in evaluating and refining energy efficiency projects, helping them navigate technical challenges and balance practical considerations.

  • Collaborate Across Groups: Work closely with sales teams, program designers, evaluation (working to support Evaluation Advisory Committee driven activities) and external partners to support the development and delivery of energy conservation projects.

  • Promote Innovation: Encourage your team to integrate emerging technologies and innovative practices into Demand Side Management (DSM) initiatives.

  • Maintain Standards: Ensure the technical quality of your direct report’s work aligns with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and Enbridge’s internal benchmarks.

  • Continuous Improvement: Use insights from audits, feedback, and evaluations to identify areas for process optimization and skill development within your team.

  • Be a Leadership Voice: Represent your team’s perspective in strategic discussions, advocating for the resources and alignment needed to achieve Enbridge’s goals.

Who You Are

  • University degree in Engineering (Environmental, Civil, or Mechanical preferred).

  • Professional engineering designation with the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).

  • 7+ years of experience with energy efficiency technologies, including HVAC systems, combined heat and power, heat pumps, and other natural gas-powered thermal systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, develop, and empower technical teams to achieve shared goals.

  • Strong communications and leadership abilities; including developing employees and change management.

  • Project and budget management skills.

  • Familiarity with Ontario’s greenhouse gas emissions and Natural Gas Demand Side Management (DSM) regulations and relevant building/equipment and energy codes/standards (preferred).

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment.

  • Approximately 15% of travel is required to various operating regions or stakeholder meetings. Valid passport required.
