Job Purpose
Medical Manager AI is a role in the Medical Department to deal with the complexity of AI therapy area in non-promotional activities to support the business from the scientific front. Acting as a strategic partner to the Commercial, the Medical Manager AI cultivates a network of collaborative relationships, based on mutual trust, effectively leading Medical Plans / Projects from their inception to the execution in the AI therapy area. It is of strategic importance to ensure the best outcome for GSK.
The Medical Manager AI plays a critical role in developing medical plans to help support the business that are aligned to GSK Pakistan’s narrative on anti-infectives.
Education, Experience & Skills
5-8 years of experience of pharmaceutical industry
MBBS or Degree in Human Sciences
Good Communications & Stakeholder management skills
Key Responsibilities
Manage the AI therapy area ensuring effective coordination with relevant stakeholders, multitasking to reduce the complexity of the business operations by:
Ensuring that strategies and objectives are in line with company strategies and objectives.
Planning, tracking, controlling and coordinating the activities accomplished / supported / and eventually conducted according to GSK requirements and policies.
Establishing effective communication mechanisms with other departments / units.
Ensuring that the conduct of the strategies and tactics comply with company policy, procedures and local laws.
Working in coordination with Commercial as a strategic partner
Assisting in the decision process for product positioning and goal setting among the other products in the relevant therapeutic class.
Assisting in formulation of strategies and tactics to achieve the goals.
Using Multi Channels including Digital ones for the dissemination of scientific information
Speaker briefing related to HCPe
Demonstrate leadership & provide guidance for the AI therapeutic area interacting with experts from a scientific perspective and become the internal expert speaker for non-promotional programs
Effectively lead projects from its inception to completion, and develop / identify best practices and implement them effectively and efficiently, encouraging innovation in relevant therapeutic area.
Oversight of SOP compliance.
Oversight of the Company compliance with the document quality standards determined by relevant SOP and Scientific Engagement
Assuring that all activities are in compliance with current SOPs and Scientific Engagement.
Ensuring that adverse event reporting is accomplished in compliance with company procedures and MoH regulations.
Providing input to the budgeting process of the Medical Department for AI therapy area.
Developing and maintaining relations with External Experts / Customers utilizing various resources, such as congresses, publications, and medical associations:
Managing the relations with potential and existing EEs, especially during congresses, visits, etc.
Assisting the EE’s during congresses and effectively representing the company.
Moderate & coordination of Advisory Board activities (where applicable) according to Scientific Engagement / Provision of the Medical Information: Responds to an unsolicited MI request for on- or off-label information about a GSK product or their specific therapeutic area. Answer medical scientific inquiries from customers & field force, evaluation of scientific literature, support sales force with scientific argumentation for GSK marketed products.
Collecting ISS ideas / Coordination of ISS and KEG: Acting as a point of contact for investigators, facilitating the interface with investigators and EG Team
