Job Description:

The College of Health Solutions seeks a Student Recruitment Coordinator to identify and support prospective first-year and transfer students, guide them through the application process, and help them explore and select a major that aligns with their interests and academic goals. We pride ourselves on our high level of student service and are looking for a new team member who values the same commitment to supporting students. We are seeking recruiters who are dedicated to helping students explore educational opportunities within the College of Health Solutions. This position will require knowledge of the different ASU campuses and degree programs offered by the College of Health Solutions.

Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Recruitment, the Student Recruitment Coordinator will be an integral member of a dynamic recruitment team charged with recruiting students into the College of Health Solutions. This position will have an office on the Downtown campus but will cover events at the Tempe and Polytechnic campuses and will be expected to commute regularly between ASU campuses and community partner locations (such as local high schools) to meet the needs of the college.

To meet application goals, the successful candidate will be skilled at building relationships with prospective students, presenting program benefits, and addressing barriers to enrollment. Relationships are developed through telephone communication, written communication, in-person meetings, and events held on campus, off campus, and online. The successful candidate will effectively communicate the value and distinguishing features of the college’s programs, articulate how College of Health Solutions programs compare with similar educational options available to prospective students, deliver engaging presentations, and build trust with students and families.

Prior experience or knowledge of the healthcare field is not required; however, familiarity with healthcare professions and educational pathways is beneficial.

Essential Duties:

  • Implement strategic efforts to build recruitment pipelines from external organizations and stakeholders to the College of Health Solutions degree programs.

  • Develop strong relationships with prospective students and their family members, counsels and confers with students, interpreting and providing program procedures, policies, goals, and objectives through a variety of communication methods, including (but not limited to) virtual and face-to-face meetings and events to ensure a seamless transition to the college.

  • Utilize the designated CRM to record phone interactions, correspondence, visits, monitoring, and follow-up of prospective student information in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate and recruit for events designed to influence prospective students, applicants, and admits to enroll in Health Solutions programs.

  • Work effectively with other members of the recruitment team, faculty, and stakeholders to design and deliver unique, immersive experiences designed to communicate the college’s value, to build rapport, and drive applications and student enrollment.

  • Develop a working knowledge of Arizona State University locations, programs, resources, benefits, policies, and practices, and a deep understanding of the College of Health Solutions programs and resources to effectively represent the College of Health Solutions and university opportunities and offerings.

  • Represent the College of Health Solutions at student outreach and recruitment events, both on-campus and off-campus.

  • Travel, as needed, within Arizona and occasionally out of state, to meet personally with groups of prospective students and represent the College of Health Solutions.

  • Assist with in-office prospective student appointments, campus tours, events, and presentations as needed.

  • Frequent nights and occasional weekends are required to perform the tasks necessary to be successful in this position. We flex time for these occasions.

  • Participate in other duties as assigned.

  • Experience in a higher education recruitment, admissions, and/or advising environment.

  • Evidence of effective verbal and written communication.

  • Evidence of being able to self-direct once projects are identified and perform as a high-functioning team member in a position that requires flexibility and resiliency.

  • Experience in designing presentation materials with an understanding of the audience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Experience with Salesforce.

  • Experience in traveling for recruitment events.

  • Experience in coordinating large-scale events, programs, and recruitment campaigns.

  • Experience in working effectively in an environment subject to tight deadlines.

  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced work environment and pursuing multiple projects simultaneously.
