The Climate Solutions Senior Consultant will work with a variety of industries, primarily in the private sector, to assess, evaluate and report on GHG baseline and inventories, climate risk assessments and scenario planning, and decarbonization pathways. The Senior Consultant may also engage in the writing of, analyzing and synthesizing ESG/Sustainability reporting and disclosures for investors, owners, board members and management teams. The Senior Consultant is a client-facing role that supports Point B’s growth by leading client engagements or a workstream within a large program. The Senior Consultant is accountable for planning and managing the work of their workstream, identifying, and managing risks and issues, developing strategy, assessment methods and documentation, and engaging with the project team and clients to achieve project goals.  
 
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:
Successfully owns, planning, implementation project/workstream plans with minimal oversight  
Develops project management artifacts, including schedules, dependency diagrams, issue/risk logs, etc. 
Conducts data analysis to support project findings and reporting narrative 
Establishes and manages project governance, scope and budget  
Develops project deliverables and documentation in support of the business objectives 
Works with internal and external stakeholders to provide industry point-of-view, thought leadership in corporate sustainability avenues 
Plans and facilitates effective project meetings, driving discussions to necessary resolution  
Provides direction and collaborates effectively with business leaders, project and technical teams 
Builds and manages stakeholder relationships, including business partners, users, vendors, customers, project and program team members, and management leaders 
Communicates clearly and proactively to peers and client stakeholders 
Listens for client needs, can speak to Point B capabilities (services, products, etc.) at a high level, and pulls in the right support when client need is identified 
Opportunistically engages in business development efforts by identifying opportunities, joining calls or pursuit teams, and preparing business development collateral 
Builds relationships through exceptional client service delivery and maintains relationships to support Point B business development 
Supports team effort and builds authentic relationships with individuals in work groups and teams 
Proactively seeks ways to supports team members and help other associates and clients achieve their professional goals 
Consistently demonstrates and lives Point B cultural tenets and values 
Participates in firm culture activities to connect regularly with other Point B’ers (e.g. account meetings, Practice Meetings, etc.)

WHAT WE EXPECT YOU’VE ALREADY DONE:    
5-7 years of experience in Environmental Sustainability with working knowledge of Corporate Sustainability 
Advanced understanding and experience evaluating corporate climate impacts, risks, opportunities and mitigation tactics including climate transition approaches and decarbonization pathways by which to run analysis and activate recommendations  
Demonstrated expertise in carbon accounting, climate/ sustainability target setting, Climate Scenario Analysis, Climate Risk Assessment including financed emissions expertise and modeling (CBA, Business Case) expertise  
Working knowledge of drafting and reporting into sustainability assessment and disclosure frameworks including TCFD, CDP, SBTi, IFRS, CSRD  
Practical understanding and experience writing and applying ESG/Sustainability disclosures and reporting frameworks, including evolution of global and regional regulations 
Ability to develop a narrative, point of view, and applications of analysis and reporting outcomes by which to advise diverse clients 
Possess a deep understanding and practical experience of ESG/environmental sustainability services, strategies, products and offerings  
Graduate Degree in Climate Science & Solutions, Environmental Management, or like degrees, B.S. required 
5+ years' experience in corporate sustainability with deep practical understanding of climate and sustainability metrics. Practical application of GHG Protocol and carbon accounting, decarbonization analysis and management, Climate Scenario Analysis, Climate Risk Assessment.  
5+ years of experience in the workforce, with a strong preference for mid-large managing consulting firms   
Strong project manager, independent worker and self-drive to deadlines 
Proactive communicator, organized and positive in a dynamic and virtual team setting  
Excellent developer in PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI and carbon management software, a plus 
Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly 
Demonstrated technical experience in sustainability, decarbonization, energy transition and cleantech; relevant experience in supply chain sustainability (upstream, downstream, procurement methods).  Preferred experience in renewables, asset decarbonization, carbon modeling and carbon markets 
Strong quantitative, analytical, and conceptual problem-solving skills combined with outstanding business acumen; comfort working with numbers/quantitative models to build strategic narratives 
Strong business acumen
Technology aptitude
Consulting experience required
Excellent interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The estimated salary range for this role is $119,500 - $191,00 USD per year. This salary range is provided as required by local and state law as applicable. Individual salaries vary on a number of factors including but not limited to geography, skills, education, experience and unique qualifications where applicable.
 
Bonuses are awarded at Point B’s discretion and are based upon individual contributions and overall firm performance.
