  • 1-2 years Demand Planning or inventory management experience

  • Experience with a demand or inventory planning system such as E3, Blue Yonder, SAP. 

  • E3 Forecasting - Means the individual needs to understand how to read forecast metrics within Pro's E3 forecasting system, as well as create forecasts within E3.  In addition, they must also understand how to make sales history adjustments within E3.  And lastly, the candidate should understand Pro's Demand Planning reporting tools such as the USN-DC Bias report and CDP.

  • Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP & Pivot Tables)

  • Data analysis

  • Interpersonal communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree

Job Summary

Uses sales and operations processes, tools, and methodologies to analyze, improve, and recommend demand forecasts and enhancements for product categories. Provides actionable data analyses to support business cases for demand plans using data-driven methods.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Assists in the development and execution of forecasts to support the enterprise sales and operations planning process for all business segments and sales verticals.
  • Executes demand planning for specific product categories, including creating repeatable processes and developing one-off and recurring demand analytics. Delivers the total demand forecasts.
  • Measures, analyzes, and improves forecast accuracy with segment-specific corrective actions, process enhancements, and JDA system enhancements. Communicates results and actions taken to stakeholders.
  • Leads a workstream that maintains forecast accuracy for one or more sales verticals.
  • Creates statistical forecasts. Identifies and quantifies risks using established quantitative methods and application software.
  • Collaborates with various departments to incorporate the onboarding of new products, retirement of old products, customer-specific forecast requirements, regulatory changes, and promotions into the demand planning process.
  • Retrieves, refines, and analyzes data. Translates complex data sets into presentations and partners with leadership on ad hoc projects as needed.

Nature and Scope

  • Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
  • Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process.
  • May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support or professional personnel.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.
