This position is for a Product Applications engineer in the Aerospace, Defense and RF Products Group (ADEF). This group develops ultra-wideband transceiver products for aerospace, defense, instrumentation, and satellite applications. In this position you will work directly with IC design, SW development team, product engineering, marketing, and field applications engineers to enable customers to move fast from evaluation to prototyping with ultra-wideband transceiver designs, ensure a positive customer experience and win new design-ins. 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Build solution platforms for application investigations, product evaluation, demonstration systems and reference designs for ADEF and Instrumentation markets.
  • Work closely with product and SW development team on requirements for future products & systems.
  • Write code to test and debug ultra-wideband transceiver product evaluation systems using lab test equipment.
  • Guiding customers to integrate and troubleshoot software and hardware on ADI evaluation system and customer system.
  • Development of technical collateral including application notes, technical articles and datasheets that describe silicon functionality, firmware, and software operation to customers.
  • Support customers by phone, email, and on-site visits to present information, answer questions, and debug customer issues.  

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical and/or computer engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Strong engineering background with proven understanding of first principles and deep expertise in complex system development.
  • Strong coding and programming & debugging skills in C/C++ , Python or Matlab
  • Strong fundamentals in high speed data converters, radio signal chain and hardware/software interaction.
  • Experience with phase array radar, EW or instrumentation system design and architecture preferred.
  • Strong problem solving and debugging expertise; track record of institutionalizing root-cause analysis.
  • Able to multitask in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and changing requirements.
  • Team player, excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • US Citizenship or Green card required

Travel Required: Maybe, 10% of the Time
