Global Supply Chain Planner

 

The Pharma supply chain planning ambition is to deliver a supply chain that continues to achieve faster launches for our new product portfolio, better responsiveness, lower inventory and enhanced resilience so that supply chain remains off the critical path.  To support this we are leveraging technology, driving integrated, efficient end to end planning and building a high performing planning team.

 

Our team collaborate and partner with the manufacturing sites to ensure supply plans can be successful fulfilled by monitoring capacity, key components availability and actively mitigating and resolving any product supply and/or customer service challenges. Global Supply Chain Planner manages inventory levels and the deployment of finished goods according to customer demands and company objectives. You will be responsible for ensuring product continuity of supply for all products that fall under assigned portfolio, both for internal and external Sites.

 

In this role you will…

  • Develop an optimal, achievable supply plan for a SKU subset, aligned to a manufacturing resource, or group of resources, for the full planning horizon according to demand, production capacity and availability of materials.
  • Manage the order book to the point of sale (ex-GSK) liaising with stakeholders. Monitor system alerts for supply issues throughout the global network.  Makes recommendations to provide timely resolution with minimum impact to customers.
  • Be responsible for delivery optimization and accuracy of master data settings for planning and supply relevant to direct delivery and replenishment processes throughout global systems. 
  • Perform capacity levelling on period 6-24 weeks and lead the handover of the Supply Plan to Site production and Scheduling.
  • Support Life Cycle Management for product launches, transfers, divestments and discontinuations. Control launch dates to ensure product availability in due time.
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives through problem solving.
  • Provides input to Core Commercial Cycle forums.
  • Evaluate supply planning performance and trends for its SKU subset, and investigates the root cause of issues of KPIs deviations and recommends actions to prevent reoccurrence in line with Segmentation principles
  • Execute and support inventory optimisation activities

  • Practical experience in supply planning
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in English
  • Ability to work with data – advanced Excel skills
  • University degree

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experienced in the use of SAP APO or SAP ECC and analytics tools
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical or FMCG environment including interaction with sites, regional commercial operations
  • Advanced French (nice to have)
