Role Summary

The role will support the Global Supply Chain Capacity Growth Program by interfacing with individual Supply Chains and their suppliers to validate forecasts, assess supplier capabilities, populate/maintain project plans, and work towards securing capacity to meet increasing volumes. This role is critical in ensuring accurate data flow, timely execution of capacity plans, and alignment with Global Supply Chain objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Engagement & Validation
    • Collaborate with Supply Chain teams and suppliers to validate demand forecasts.
    • Assess supplier capabilities and capacity readiness.
    • Develop project plans to track progress against validation milestones for top suppliers.
  • Capacity Planning Support
    • Assist in gathering and maintaining supplier capacity plans.
    • Monitor and report on capacity commitments and identify gaps or risks.
  • Project Coordination
    • Support Lead Capacity Growth Project Managers in maintaining integrated project plans and Gantt charts.
    • Document and track action items, decisions, and issues to closure.
    • Prepare updates for weekly Governance meetings and Control Tower dashboards.
  • Data & Reporting
    • Maintain accurate records of supplier validation and capacity status.
    • Prepare concise progress reports for stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Communication
    • Serve as a liaison between suppliers, Supply Chain teams, and Lead Capacity Growth Project Managers.
    • Ensure timely and clear communication of requirements, deadlines, and updates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, engineering and/or project management.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other project management tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with supplier engagement and capacity planning.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to problem solve and get to root cause.

Summary Pay Range:

$112,710.00 - $169,060.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
