Job Summary

  • This role is responsible for business analysis and quality assurance activities in accordance with solution development methodology and supporting IT projects. The role works with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand strategy, processes, information, and IT solutions. The role liaisons with end users, software vendors, and programmers to achieve the projected outcomes when troubleshooting issues, implementing new systems, and upgrading existing systems.
  • Tasked with the design, development, and maintenance of factory automation/control systems and product testing & inspection systems, such as machine vision and electrical testers, in a highly networked manufacturing factory environment. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, as well as vendors and manufacturing partners, is essential. Candidates must possess strong programming knowledge (C/C++, C#, etc.) and a solid understanding of Windows-based networking.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintenance of high volume and high precision machine controlled by a PC-based control software, which is integrated with various hardware such as mechanical robot, input/output sensors, servo motor, machine vision as well as data system for validation of processes and data acquisition.
  • Responsible for maintenance of machine vision for defect detection, electrical tester for testing of semiconductor components, and print-quality inspection and testing.
  • Responsible for first level troubleshooting in a highly networked manufacturing environment, integrated with production operation IT system.
  • Work with data system teams to ensure reliable and high integrity data transport between factory floor and database servers
  • Take leadership in the support of production machine by facilitating and coordinating various system owners and business stakeholders for issues resolution.
  • Flexible working hours to support 24 x 7 high volume manufacturing operations.
  • Codes independently, participates/leads in code reviews.
  • Applies in-depth or broad technical knowledge to maintain one or more technology areas (e.g. Database Administration).
  • Applies HP and 3rd party technologies to highly complex infrastructure and software solutions.
  • Implements end-user or enterprise infrastructure of moderate complexity or services prepared by senior technologist for complex solutions.
  • Leads unit testing and debugging to ensure the quality and functionality of the software.
  • Works closely with other members of the development team, such as architects, designers, and testers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Ensures delivery of efficient and responsive applications by optimizing software performance.
  • Develops the design and architecture of software applications to ensure scalability, maintainability, and reusability.
  • Works in an agile development environment, driving sprint planning, and delivering incremental software updates.

Skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or a related technical field.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in highly automated and high volume manufacturing environments.
  • Strong Problem Solving skills.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to effectively connect with people from different levels.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to succeed.

    Required skills:
    • In-depth knowledge in Windows based programming (C/C++, MFC, C#, .NET, etc…)
    • Working knowledge in PC- based machine control application and various electrical components such as servo motor.
    • Working knowledge in LAN-integrated machine with automated data acquisition.
    • Working knowledge of data transport protocols and IT infrastructure supporting factory operations
    • Working knowledge in automated machine vision and electrical testing for semiconductor.
    • Working knowledge in manufacturing processes and functions in high volume environment.
