Coperion Food Equipment is looking for Assemblers to join our team! As an assembler you assemble will industrial food equipment such as mixers, sandwiching equipment, mixes & batter equipment, or product handling equipment 

We are based out of Sidney, Ohio and serve baking operations around the world. Our high-performance industrial food equipment has earned a reputation for innovation, sanitation, quality and longevity.

  • Monday through Friday schedule – 5,6, or 7 am start time and 8-10-hour days.
  • Occasional mandatory Saturday work when needed.
  • Hourly pay with OT after 40 hours a week.

Work You’ll Do:

  • Assembly procedures may involve adjusting, trimming, and fitting parts to moderately close tolerances, working with parts or components that are difficult to handle, and other skills that require good dexterity and facility in the use of a variety of hand tools.  
  • May make minor procedural decisions in fitting and adjusting of parts, etc., but always within established guidelines. 
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  
  • Work with detailed blueprints, assembly sketches or other input documents of similar complexity.  
  • Have a focus on personal safety as well as the safety of others; actively participates on assigned safety team.   
  • Responsible for the quality of work. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and in a non-air-conditioned environment, move above in duties.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with formal trades training or a minimum of two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and common fractions, and decimals.  
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience operating an overhead crane 
  • Experience driving a fork truck
