The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and closing of an initiative with very limited supervision.  Also responsible for managing the delivery of business capabilities. Manages and coordinates project management services across the enterprise utilizing strong communication and negotiation skills. The candidate must understand when and who to escalate risks and issues, influence others to work without having direct reporting lines to the PM, multitask, and be change-oriented. The candidate must also be able to effectively present to more senior project managers and/or leadership.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Lead multiple projects through all project phases and drive project deliverables from the initiation to closure.                                                                 

  • Develops, administers and delivers upon complex project budgets, timelines and performance standards in accordance with the sponsor’s agreed upon scope.                             

  • Ensures project cadence, project issues, change requests and risks are clearly defined and communicated to project sponsors and stakeholders.

  • Analyzes key metrics of project scheduling, costs, and value realization and makes recommendations as appropriate.                                                                   

  • Engages with cross-functional business leaders to analyze the organization’s ability to absorb change and adopt project and programs post-deployment.

  • Communicates status of the project to stakeholders in business units and the IT organization.

  • Monthly status reporting and forecasting.

  • Manage the vendor contracts and milestone deliveries.                

  • Oversees the Software Development Lifecycle.

  • Monitors value metrics to make informed decisions that maximize returns across enterprise projects and programs and puts appropriate change management processes in place to alter course as necessary.                                                       

  • Ensures that investments and initiatives in project management services are aligned with business strategy and priorities.                                                                   

  • Ensures that all projects are managed according to methodologies adopted by the organization in accordance with established governance practices.

  • Demonstrates ability to manage project team meeting and facilitate meetings and discussions across project team members and steering committees.                               

  • Defines principles and standards to harmonize project management methodologies.    

  • Develop a growing knowledge of the SDLC, intake processes and other IT processes to support the project management framework and portfolio management and contribute to improvement across the IT organization when needed.                                      

  • Assist/ support portfolio management activities from reporting, governance, and ad hoc tasks to deliver information for leadership updates and decisions.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent.

  • Seven to nine years of directly applicable experience or equivalent.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is $78,000.00 - $152,000.00 USD.
