Position Title:

Business Consultant

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our PulsePoint offices.

Responsible for translating moderately complex and varied pharmacy business needs into application software requirements and/or efficient operational processes. Possesses full technical knowledge of most phases of systems and business analysis and is able to consider the business implications of the application of technology to current and future business environments.

How you will make an impact:

  • May lead teams of analysts assigned to complex projects.
  • Determines specific business application software requirements to address complex and varied business needs.
  • Analyzes and designs solutions to address complex and varied business needs.
  • Consults with business Job partners concerning application and implementation of technology and process improvements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 8 years business analysis experience, which should include analysis and project management; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations is strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong preference for formulary, clinical rules, pharmacy claims analysis, and/or prior authorization experience for a pharmacy benefit manager or health plan
  • Highly organized and ability to function in environment with a high degree of accuracy with multiple concurrent demands and short turnaround times
  • More than 5 years Excel experience working with large data files and general reporting tools
  • Ability to research issues, validate work, and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
