About the role

We seek a marketing manager to lead Applied Intuition's defense business's go-to-market and demand generation efforts. This person will be responsible for creating and executing a successful defense marketing strategy for an industry-leading dual-use technology company. You will create demand through successful campaign and program execution. You will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders in global marketing, communications, business development, government affairs, engineering, and product. This is an operational role that will directly enable revenue growth.

At Applied Intuition, you will:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aimed at supporting the planned growth of Applied Intuition Defense
  • Launch cross-channel campaigns across multiple teams and platforms within the business development, sales, and marketing ecosystems.
  • Manage and execute marketing programs such as conferences, webinars, account-based marketing campaigns, etc.; continually assess, measure, and report on the program and channel effectiveness
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with core business objectives
  • Manage field marketing event logistics such as event goals, contract and event negotiation, promotional strategy, day-of support, and post-event metrics and reporting
  • Develop customer profiles and proclivity models to enable acquisition and retention efforts. 
  • Operationalize lead capture and sales follow-up from field marketing events, gated content, and other inbound leads
  • Work closely with our design team to elevate our brand presence at all events
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including web development, communications, and product, to launch new services and increase brand awareness

We're looking for someone who has:

  • 8+ years of experience in executing integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Experience in end-to-end planning and execution of events, including booths and speaking engagements at external conferences, company-hosted events, and offsites  
  • Experience executing defense and national security-focused marketing campaigns
  • In-depth knowledge of national security issues 
  • Passion for building a deep understanding of the applications for autonomous systems within defense networks
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, online advertising tools (LinkedIn Ads, Twitter Ads, Google AdWords, programmatic ads, etc.), social analytics tools (Meltwater, Brandwatch, etc.), and email tools (Marketo, MailChimp, etc.)

Nice to have:

  • Experience managing and tracking events—including booths and speaking engagements at external conferences and self-hosted company events—and executing related communications campaigns
  • Experience with autonomy, artificial intelligence (AI), and related technologies and their applications to national security
  • Bachelors and/or Masters in marketing or related field
