Western Door Federal is seeking a Financial Analyst (Reporting and Analytics) to support our government client in San Antonio, TX. 

Work is generally expected to be on-site in San Antonio, TX with the potential for hybrid or remote.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: The Reporting and Analytics Analyst works independently and cross-functionally across multiple financial systems including the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and e Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS).  Some day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Operate in a support capacity with the division accounting personnel to assist in the database development and maintenance to expand reporting capabilities.
  • Pull reports from financial systems to answer Requests for Information (RFI).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop data visualization products that enable decision making.
  • Develop databases based on requirements laid out by division leadership.
  • Utilize Excel and other data analysis tools to prepare Financial and Accounting System Reports for managerial decision making.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field. 
  • 1 plus years of experience with analytics, financial reporting, and data visualization.
  • Ability to utilize online financial systems and analyze data to generate reports and identify errors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications – especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Tableau Desktop and Server certification plus 1-2 years data visualization experience with a focus on Tableau.
  • Experience with other data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and modeling.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
  • Knowledge of Military Health System (MHS) policy and regulations.
  • Prior training/experience with GFEBS.
  • Prior training/experience with DEAMS.
