THE TEAM

The Digital Ticketing team’s mission is to issue and keep digital tickets up to date.  We deliver state-of-the-art solutions using rotating barcodes, Apple Wallet and Google Pay platforms. Regardless of the platform used, the biggest names in the industry rely on us to ensure spectators can easily get in on the day of the event while ensuring the security and authenticity of the tickets through the adoption of our SafeTix technology.

THE JOB

As a Developer III, you will code, deliver and operate our digital ticket delivery platform used when purchasing online. Under the general supervision of your team leader, you will use your experience, skills and initiative to accomplish planned tasks, correct problems encountered in production and improve existing tools and services.

At Ticketmaster, you will remotely join a team, based in Quebec City (Canada), focused on code quality, maintainability and performance. You will be directly involved throughout the agile development process, whether at the level of planning, architecture, code, different levels of testing, deployments, operations and maintenance.

 

Your communication skills will be used since you will be called upon to interact with the product manager, software development managers as well as developers from other teams. Your main projects will be the backend services developed in JAVA deployed in the AWS cloud which fulfill the task of creating and maintaining digital tickets which are consulted by millions of fans around the world.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Code the platform functionalities

  • Develop automated tests to ensure the quality of deliverables

  • Recommend best practices to deliver a quality product

  • Diagnose and correct production problems

  • Participate in production support rotation

  • Contribute to defining the plan to achieve our objectives

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)

  • Strong experience in software development

  • Experience in the design and integration of REST APIs

  • Experience with Agile methodologies

  • JAVA, Spring Boot

  • AWS, Kubernetes

  • NoSQL

  • Terraform, Pulumi, bash, TypeScript
