Job Description Summary

As a Stormwater & Safety Superintendent working for Taylor Morrison you will ensure Safety and Stormwater programs are implemented, audited, maintained and exceed Taylor Morrison’s high Safety and Stormwater expectations. The Stormwater and Safety Superintendent responsibilities span a broad spectrum to include onsite training for subcontractors and Taylor Morrison Employees, resource allocation and subcontractor and subcontractor relations, cost management, safety and compliance, SWMP adherence and compliance.

We trust that as a Stormwater & Safety Superintendent you will: (responsibilities)

  • Perform jobsite inspections throughout division, organize and distribute to each jobsite

  • Maintain jobsite/office signage and safety supplies (PPE)

  • Perform Monthly Jobsite Audits along with management. Organize, record, and distribute to each jobsite and place on shared drive

  • Lead and provide training to trade partners monthly. Organize, record, and distribute to each jobsite and place on shared drive

  • Lead safety committee meetings. Document minutes and distribute to each jobsite and place on shared drive

  • Lead TM safety training of sales, construction, and office staff.  Document and distribute and place on shared drive

  • Compile yearly updates of the Stormwater & Safety Program and site rules. Included in these updates are jobsite constraints, jobsite continuous improvement plan and Divisional continuous improvement plan

  • Create new digital jobsite specific safety books and audit regularly

  • Yearly update and maintain divisional MSDS / SDS

  • Maintain “high risk” trade partner safety programs and competency records

  • Perform trade partner safety evaluations and coordinate with purchasing on unsafe trade partners for evaluation of future work

  • Perform or organize annual/biannual CPR/First Aid training

  • Perform or organize new hire OSHA 10 hour training and safety orientation

  • Perform new community startup meetings with trade partners

  • Perform quality inspections on homes, compile reports, and manage data base for the division

  • Work with trade partners regarding trends in SWMP deficiencies and trade issues

  • Work with Superintendents and Trade Partners for who is responsible for repairs, and backcharge as necessary

  • Maintain a Safety and Stormwater budget and review with VPC on a Monthly Basis

  • Foster a team environment

  • Build and maintain positive subcontractor relations

  • Continually evaluate Stormwater, Safety, and cost control measures

  • Walk with Federal and Local governing municipalities and necessary

  • Continued membership with HBA Safety and Stormwater committees.

About you:

  • Certified US Department of Labor OSHA trainer for 10/30 hour construction

  • Certified CPR/First aid/AED instructor

  • Certified SMWP Compliance Train

  • You have at a minimum: High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of Construction experience (preferably with a production builder) or have successfully completed the assigned TM360 Learning curriculum if applicable.  Bachelor’s degree in Construction or related field preferred

  • Must possess demonstrated knowledge of new home construction Stormwater and Safety process, scheduling and cost control procedures

  • Must be able to read, understand and interpret SWMP documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules, with knowledge of all phases of Safety and Stormwater in new homes construction

  • You have extensive knowledge of OSHA rules & regulations

  • You have extensive knowledge of CDPHE and EPA rules and regulations

  • You are proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications as well as have savvy computer skills

  • You are a strong in communication skills both oral and written as well as strong in organization skills

  • You understand the need to be flexible and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines

FLSA Status: Exempt

Will have responsibilities such as:

  • Office or non-manual work, which is directly related to management or general business operations

  • Act as a primary component of which involves the exercise of independent judgment and discretion about matters of significance

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time

  • The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary Range: $74,280 - $118.840

Bonus or Commission Eligible: Production Bonus 20%

Auto Allowance: $6,000
