Position: Software Engineer III
Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duties: Understand requirements and assist in analyzing existing software solutions to address needs. Create and configure minimalistic code for entire components and applications and ensure the components are meeting business and technical requirements, non-functional requirements, low-maintainability, high-availability, and high-scalability needs. Identify and create test cases for the component/ and modules. Execute test cases to test code and detect errors and defects for entire components. Track and analyze defects for the components and modules and carry out regression testing to fix defects in all instances of code changes. Monitor and evaluate the performance of software applications by tracking and analyzing appropriate metrics.
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field. Position does not require specific years of experience but requires listed skills.
Skills Required: Experience designing and developing REST API web services using Java Spring Boot, Tomcat, and Maven. Experience with Relational Databases and SQL queries. Experience with unit testing using JUnit and Mockito Framework. Experience with Object Oriented Programming and design principles using Java language. Experience setting up and managing CI/CD workflows for software development. Experience with containerization using Docker and container orchestration using Kubernetes. Experience implementing microservices-based solutions for scalable, reliable, and fault tolerant applications. Experience designing and developing cloud-based applications. Experience with Object Relational Mapping for database interaction and management using Hibernate. Experience with Version Control using Git for collaboration and managing code repositories. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $117,000/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
