Position Summary:

This position reports to the AVP of Premium Audit. The Premium Audit Team Lead is a hands-on leadership role responsible for direct oversight of assigned work groups that perform preparation and completion of premium audits including but not limited to field exposures to final billing calculations. The position is a working management role that is also an individual contributor (50%) to the work area of oversight. They will play a key role in the oversight,  development and creation of standardized documentation and LEAN practices will be leveraged to drive business value, continuous improvement and customer engagement.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Direct engagement with Brokers, UW and Insureds

  • Work with the Department AVP, to ensure timely completion of rush and priority audit output

  • Assists in training new hires and current employees on systems, workflows & procedures

  • Ensures compliance and regulatory standards are maintained

  • Continuously improve the efficiency of daily processes utilizing LEAN management systems

  • Help build operational metrics that achieve productivity targets, reduce costs, identify areas for improvement and deliver excellent customer service

  • Effectively lead team through change and transformation efforts to retain talent and upskill staff

  • Responsible for performance management, coaching, mentoring and development of direct report Supervision of the work functions completed by offshore Premium Audit staff

  • Active performance in the completion of department premium audit output (50% time)

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Premium audit

  • Strong working knowledge of assigned Premium Audit area and preferred knowledge of Arch systems & workflows

  • Effective Leadership skills and ability to develop high performing teams

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to effectively develop productive working relationships

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize duties and multi-task

  • Strong technical, analytical and business acumen skills, forward thinking with a mindset of continuous improvement

Education:

  • College degree or equivalent experience in the Insurance Industry

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

$98,900 - $133,488/year for NC

$109,900 - $148,320/year for CA/NY

  • Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
