Summary :

Respiratory Therapists at ThedaCare Regional Medical Centers are a respected and integral part of the patient care team. In this position, you will provide assessment and treatment focused on pulmonary disease and complications in all areas of the hospitals.

Job Description:

• Assesses patients with pulmonary diseases and complications and using physician ordered, therapist –driven protocols, develops and implements a respiratory plan of care.
• Serves as part of the patient care team, collaborating with other disciplines in patient care and education.
• Serves as part of the teams of code blue; code STEMI; trauma; rapid response; and NRP code team.
• Manages patients requiring mechanical ventilation.
• Opportunity to be part of airway team and be trained in advanced airway management and endotracheal intubation.
• Opportunity to participate in shared governance. 

QUALIFICATIONS: • Associate’s degree from an accredited respiratory care program • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification for healthcare providers • ACLS, PALS, NRP (site specific, credentials may be obtained after hire) • Current State of Wisconsin License Respiratory Care Practitioner, NBRC RRT credential (may be obtained within first six months of hire and/or post-graduation). May 2020 graduates are encouraged to apply.
