This is an exciting opportunity to join GSK as a Manager, Corporate & Commercial Policy.

The current innovation framework – underpinned by IP – has enabled the industry to develop over 650 new medicines for the world’s emerging health needs in the last 20 years, including transformational breakthroughs for HIV and cancer, and has built the base of knowledge, research and manufacturing capacity that led to answers for COVID-19. Innovation and access to resulting new medicines and vaccines are at the heart of GSK’s ability to get ahead of disease. The recent pandemic has catalysed deeper policy discussions on health security and preparedness, and how to better accelerate the healthcare business model and deliver global solutions.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering policy content on critical matters of importance to GSK, focused on intellectual property (IP), access, and pandemic preparedness, informed by monitoring key international policymaking fora. You will also support activation of advocacy strategies driven by GSK’s commercial priorities, and to maximize the value of GSK’s pipeline; this would involve building and maintaining relationships with national and international stakeholders, delivering external engagement with Embassies, health diplomats, and representing GSK at industry trade association meetings. You will also input to briefs for senior leaders in relation to their engagement and industry strategy development for major international fora.

This role will report to the Director of Corporate & Commercial Policy and be part of GSK’s Global Corporate Government Affairs and Policy (GCGAP) team. In this role you will have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues leading policy across Commercial Pipeline, AMR, Sustainability, R&D, and Global Health, as well as those leading corporate engagement with key governments.
