Dow has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an IT Solution Manager based in Sao Paulo (Brazil), Or Midland Michigan. The candidate chosen for this role will be able to take full advantage of the emerging “Design Your Day” principles of hybrid work.
About you and this role - What you would do in this role
As the Solution Manager, you will manage a portfolio of Human Resource solutions or practice(s) which include systems (applications), and manage its lifecycle - analysis, design, implementation/adoption, optimization, and end-of-life retirement of digital solutions, delivering advanced functional and business capabilities. You will work hand-in-hand with a multi-disciplinary IT expert team (analysts/designers/developers/support) to deliver innovative digital solutions. You will orchestrate functional and technical requirements analysis – with an emphasis on experience, simplification, automation, efficiency, and reliability. You will oversee the development, optimization, implementation and adoption of solutions leveraging best-in-class mobile, web, desktop, and cloud technologies. You will identify opportunities for innovating with digital capabilities aiming to accelerate Dow’s digital transformation.
Responsibilities:
Requirements Analysis – Explores, analyzes, and maps business and function requirements.
Experience Mapping - Maps user journeys, user experience (UX), user stories (user features) to facilitate employee experience (EX) / customer experience (CX) transformation.
Accountable for solution lifecycle, including functional /technical design – solution architecture, developing value case for buy vs make decisions – integration of third-party off-the-shelf software, develops/integrating/tests/building quality solutions, and retiring services per agreed upon roadmap.
Support team in the ability to operate in both waterfall and agile delivery approaches.
Supports implementation and user adoption.
Support - Selects and defines supplier and team support models.
Accountable for ensuring measurements of the defined SLA’s, OLA’s or KPI’s for your solution/practice are in place and are acted upon when outside of normal expectations.
End-to-End Integration – Coordinates with other Managers for end-to-end process optimization and integration.
Roadmaps – Defines a solution(s) portfolio improvement and innovation roadmap with proper sequencing and prioritization of projects; Helps assess resource, technology, and investment needed in delivering against the roadmap.
Solution Expertise – supports and fosters a community of solution experts and acts as a thought leader in his/her domain.
Assist with workload analysis for a team to ensure proper resource alignment for capacity planning.
Assists with financial management by managing solution lifecycle costs.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant.
5 years of Relevant Experience
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Fluent English Skills

8 or more years of relevant experience
Influencing people experience
Workday HCM Configuration management experience
Human-centered design experience
Recent experience designing, configuring, and deploying in the Workday Platform

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple initiatives and prioritize and manage workload
Ability to lead and resolve complex problem situations and technical issues
Ability to work effectively with onsite and offshore teams without compromising existing service levels customer satisfaction rate
Ability to learn new processes and tools quickly
