Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is looking for an experienced E-2D Avionics Technician (AT) for the NAS Point Mugu Field Support Team. This position located in Ventura County California. Perform a variety of maintenance, modifications and technical support on E-2D Avionics systems, equipment, integrated systems, and subsystems, at various customer and/or field locations. Extensive knowledge of diagnoses and repair of the E-2D systems to include RADAR, EMIRS, RF and internal communications, navigation, IFF, ESM, mission computer and Data link systems. Possess familiarity with updating system software i.e. RADAR, EMIRS, IFF using the Controller Test Set (CTS).  Also possess familiarity with troubleshooting avionics systems using aircraft wiring schematics. This position requires deployment aboard aircraft carriers. The successful candidate must meet medical and physical requirements for work aboard aircraft carriers including the flight deck.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of documented related work experience with E-2D Avionics systems.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Experience as a CDI and the ability to support operations IAW COMNAVAIRFORINST

               4790.2.

  • Must have an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance at time of start and be able to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.
  • Working knowledge of tool control and quality control/ management processes.
  • Must have a minimum of one of the following:
    • Navy “A” and “C” schools or service equivalent schools.
    • Accredited Vocational Education Institutions
    • Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)/Factory Technical training programs related to the system(s)/equipment being supported.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills required for interaction with the customer and project management
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office productivity software

Salary Range: $62,900.00 - $104,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
