The HR Project Manager leads complex, cross functional initiatives that modernize and scale the HR function. Different areas of responsibility can include leading technical execution of M&A HR Workstreams covering preclose diligence, Day1 readiness, HRIS/payroll/time systems integration, data conversion, and regulatory compliance, or supporting advancement in HR operating model, processes, analytics, and employee experience. The Project Manager orchestrates multidisciplinary teams, manages dependencies and risks, and delivers measurable outcomes aligned to enterprise priorities.
Major Responsibilities
Leads end‑to‑end planning, execution, and delivery of HR projects
Supports team to define project scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and deliverables
Develops and maintains detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations
Ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
Monitors project health and help adjust plans to address changing priorities
Supports organizational change management for HR initiatives to ensure awareness, adoption, and engagement
Partners closely with HR leaders, Centers of Excellence (COEs), cross-functional teams and external partners
Tracks and reports on project progress, milestones, risks, and outcomes
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Certification / License
Work Experience
5 years of project management or human resources experience
3 years of experience leading cross-functional projects
Demonstrated success delivering projects with cross‑functional teams.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Advanced problem-solving ability
Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality and proven ability to handle sensitive information.
Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills necessary to interact with staff at all levels of the organization and candidates.
Proficiency in MS Office applications
Ability to effectively lead, manage, and motivate teams, exhibit excellent coaching skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain consistently high standards of work
Preferred Job Requirements
Education
Master’s degree in Business, HR, or a related discipline.
Certification / License
PHR / SPHR
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate
Agile/Scrum Experience
Experience in M&A integration, from either the HR or business development functions
Work Experience
Experience implementing new HR processes and programs as either a process owner or project manager
Experience working as a project manager in a multi-national HR organization
Hands-on experience with cloud HCM (e.g. Workday, SAP, Oracle HCM, etc.)
HR Systems implementation experience, esp. end-to-end HCM cloud products
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Familiarity with Prosci or equivalent change management methodologies
Demonstrated ability to leverage AI-enabled HR tools – such as talent analytics or automation platforms – to enhance workforce planning and operational efficiency.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
