The Biopharma, Patient & CDI (C4) team builds and maintains the platforms and capabilities that enable Pfizer Business Units to connect digitally with our external customers and effectively engage and collaborate across teams internally.  This includes all digital (web, mobile, omni-channel, & devices) products, platforms, services, and experiences in service of patients, HCPs, payors, pharmacists, or clinical sites. Platforms and Engineering: Within C4, the Platform and Engineering team is accountable for engineering leadership and integrated platforms evolution across marketing technology programs that enable Pfizer to deliver high-quality, multi-channel experiences via web, mobile, messaging, and connected devices for external customers.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide expertise and oversight to continuously deliver digital experiences across customer types. The customer types could include Patients and Caregivers, Healthcare Professionals, organized customers like Hospitals or Pharmacies, or internal Pfizer colleagues.

In addition, they are accountable for our Marketing Technology architecture inclusive of Digital Platforms, Digital Channel Enablement, Content Management and Marketing/Marketer Tools and for driving Digital Enablement within Pfizer.

This role requires a deep understanding of digital content creation tools, asset management systems, and optimization techniques to ensure content is delivered efficiently and effectively across various digital channels.

Collaborating closely with other key cross-functional teams, this role helps translate business requirements into technical solutions, drives innovation through experimentation, and anticipates needs of marketers in content creation and management.


The individual filling this role is expected to manage multiple projects/workstreams resources to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meets technical and business requirements.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Subject Matter Expertise - General

  • Manage and lead teams to ensure that all projects are delivered within scope, budget and schedule in accordance with Pfizer Digital Lifecycle processes. Liaise with stakeholders to manage and control changes to project parameters.

  • Acts independently to review projects/programs against business case when completed to ensure projected benefits are being realized.

Content Strategy Implementation:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement digital content strategies aligned with organizational goals and audience needs.

  • Deliver on the digital aspects of agreed OKRs in partnership with the Chief Marketing Office. 

  • Identify opportunities for content innovation and experimentation to enhance audience engagement and reach.

Content Creation and Production Management:

  • Coordinate the end-to-end process of digital content creation, including ideation, creation, editing, and publishing.

  • Manage and Lead a team of content delivery specialists to ensure timely delivery of high-quality content.

  • Implement workflows and processes to streamline content production and maximize resource efficiency.

Digital Asset Management:

  • Maintain a digital asset management system to organize, catalog, and store digital assets effectively.

  • Develop metadata schemas and taxonomy structures to facilitate easy retrieval and reuse of digital assets.

  • Monitor asset usage and permissions to ensure compliance with copyright and licensing requirements.

Content Optimization and Performance Analysis:

  • Implement best practices for content optimization, including SEO, accessibility, and localization considerations.

  • Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to content engagement, reach, and conversion rates.

  • Generate reports and insights to evaluate content effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Technology and Tools Management:

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and tools related to digital content creation and asset management.

  • Evaluate and recommend digital content management platforms, tools, and solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Be the technical owner of the Content Creation and Asset Management toolset.

  • Deliver and exceed on committed deliverables. Monitor performance and drive optimization: Establish meaningful metrics to measure the effectiveness of Content Creation and Management initiatives. Monitor performance closely and identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.

Leadership

  • Set objectives for the team to apply learnings and experiences across projects to minimize inefficiencies and build robust practices.

  • Guide and influence stakeholders on acceptable levels of risk-taking across global business units

  • While not a people manager, this role requires guiding and mentoring team members to enhance overall performance and skill development

Strategic Leadership & Delivery

  • Develop PM strategy to provide leadership and guidance on project planning, execution and implementation activities. Identify opportunities to implement industry best practices for effective project delivery.

  • Define program governance framework for effective decision-making and risk management.

  • Establish a robust decision-making model for selecting objective, optimal and prompt decisions for any issues raised.

  • Establish a risk management model focused on proactive detection and mitigation; objective assessment and solutioning; and transparent communication.

Resource and Financial Management

  • Lead and manage operational/ strategic project teams - people, technological and financial resources to budget.

  • Applies technical, line and business knowledge to influence the strategic direction for technical delivery cost savings.

  • Assesses global business unit for talent needs and identifies talent within the organization to ensure bench strength for critical roles.

  • Motivate direct and indirect reports and deliver performance and professional results across global business units.

Cross- Team Collaboration

  • Establish stakeholder communication strategy using a variety of communication tools to ensure timely and effective communication on progress, risks/ mitigation and accomplishments across global business units

  • Influence senior management decisions that impact business direction.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering or Technology Management preferred.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in pharmaceutical industry with strong understanding of project management /product owner responsabilities and principles.

  • High proficiency and proven successful delivery of experiences using Agile development, especially scaled agile and lean techniques and methodologies (Disciplined Agile, SAFe, etc.)

  • 5+ years of collaborating with and managing cross-functionals teams including business subject matter experts, technical experts and compliance teams for project execution.

  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience understanding business requirements, technical concepts and business processes.

  • Demonstrated experience in vendor negotiations with cited impacts to strategic direction and in-line production products.

  • High level of awareness of internal and external technology trends.

  • Strong facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills.

  • Strong working knowledge on MS Tools – Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.

  • Experience in Marketing Technology tools such as Adobe Workfront, Adobe Experience Manager, Web Development tools, Campaign Management tools, and other SaaS tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master of Science degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering or Technology Management.

  • Understanding of commercial business process.

  • Digital Content Creation Expertise: Should have a strong understanding of the content lifecycle and the technology that supports it.

  • Content Strategy Development: Capability to develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the organization's goals, target audience, and brand identity. 

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), digital asset management (DAM) platforms and Marketing Workflow Management tools.

  • Agile Product Manager / Product Owner, Adobe Workfront, Adobe Assets

  • Project Management Professions (PMP) Certification.Agile Certification

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Candidate will be expected to travel globally to Pfizer locations as needed

Non-standard work hours may be required based on project deliverables and business needs

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $149,200.00 to $248,600.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. * The annual base salary for this position in Tampa, FL ranges from $134,300.00 to $223,800.00.
