Job Description Summary

The 3rd Shift Operations Leader will provide daily leadership and direction for manufacturing operations supporting the Rotor Machining cell’s priorities: safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will be expected to make business critical decisions in a timely manner while demonstrating leadership and consistency in communicating goals, daily assignments, and process changes for the respective cell. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute production plans for your shift of operation that contribute to the long-term operational excellence and stability of the Rotor Machining Cell.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop, coordinate, lead and execute daily production plans consistent with the goals and objectives of the department
  • Drive performance metrics and track results for key business priorities as defined by your role i.e. safety, quality, materials management, fulfillment, productivity, and system compliance
  • Provide direction and support needs for assigned production associates which includes: resource and coverage planning, scheduling overtime, and supporting cell priorities.
  • Champion and enforce to daily production goals and OEE targets
  • Implement continuous improvement projects during cell’s lean transition
  • Drive daily schedule attainment to meet all customer commitments with top quality at the lowest cost
  • Work with cross-functional peers to troubleshoot and resolve technical and quality issues as they arise
  • Coordinate an effective turnover between shifts
  • Support, encourage and facilitate core manufacturing principles by providing adequate time for training and for teams to accomplish continuous improvement projects
  • Work to maintain and further develop shift’s training plan
  • Develop and support the growth of all employees
  • Support all company workplace policies including attendance and safety objectives
  • Work with HR to develop a performance-oriented work environment encompassing timely performance appraisals, reviews for new employees, and timely disciplinary action when warranted
  • Ensure compliance with business and quality standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing leadership (or equivalent coordinator/leadership positions).

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to work with the 3rd-shift hours and cover weekends as required
  • Flexibility to work across both planning and operations supervision responsibilities

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience with Gas Turbine manufacturing

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $76,300.00 and $114,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
