Summary: We are seeking a proactive and technically proficient Application Lead to manage and guide a team of developers in designing, building, and deploying scalable cloud-based applications. This role requires deep expertise in Python and AWS, a strong grasp of application architecture, and experience leading agile development teams. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on development skills with leadership capabilities to drive end-to-end delivery of complex technical solutions. Roles & Responsibilities: Lead a team of developers and analysts in delivering high-quality Python-based cloud applications. Architect and design scalable, maintainable, and secure AWS solutions in alignment with business needs. Act as a technical liaison between stakeholders, architects, and development teams. Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and project timelines. Drive sprint planning, task estimation, and agile ceremonies to ensure timely delivery. Mentor junior team members and conduct regular performance and code reviews. Oversee CI/CD pipeline setup, monitoring, and deployment in a DevOps environment. Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues proactively. Professional & Technical Skills: 1. Languages & Frameworks: Python (Flask, Django, FastAPI); understanding of JavaScript, Angular (optional) 2. Cloud Expertise: Strong experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, API Gateway, IAM) 3. Architecture: Proven experience designing cloud-native, microservices-based architectures 4. DevOps & CI/CD: Git, Jenkins, Docker, CloudFormation/Terraform, CodePipeline, CloudWatch 5. Project Management: Agile/Scrum methodology; JIRA or equivalent tools 6. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills Additional Information: 1. 8+ years of experience in application development, with at least 2–3 years in a technical leadership role 2. AWS certification (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect – Associate) is a plus 3. Experience working with geographically distributed teams is desirable 4. Willingness to take ownership and accountability for delivery outcomes
