The Opportunity
This position works out of our Alajuela, Coyol location in the Vascular division that provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for the treatment of vascular disease.
What You’ll Do
- Planning daily activities of the Calibration technicians. Will serve as point of contact for daily requests for calibration services and escalate urgent calibrations to technicians. This includes prioritization and assignment of tasks to within the group.
- Realize cause analysis on Out-of-Tolerance equipment, assign corrective actions as needed and review the analysis with Calibration Supervisor.
- Coordinate and plan the calibration moves and transfers in production lines.
- Execute multi-discipline calibrations and complex measurement systems
- Generate calibration assessment document for outside calibration services
- Provide feedback for the automatization for calibration functions
- Design calibration fixtures
- Select standards for complex/system calibration procedures based on tolerance accuracy ratios, specifications, and measurement uncertainty
- Complete assigned projects
- Analyze complex repair situations
- Perform analysis for repair prevention Use and order tools; specify and order parts with attention to safety precautions
- Use calibration data base systems including history tracking and recall and overdue reports
- Develop calibration tasks
- Calibration schedule and workload balance
- Design calibration lab layouts
- Review calibration procedures
- Perform root cause and interval analyses on Out-of-Tolerance equipment
- Provide formal training to equipment users and other calibration technicians
- Research and answer user technical measurement questions
- Perform data analysis and report on equipment measurement studies
- Perform on the job training and technical orientation training for new hires
- Perform system evaluations for calibration
- Solve complex calibration/measurement problems
Shift: Admin (Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm)

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electric, Mechanics, Chemistry, Electronics, Electromechanical engineering, or other related technical fields
- 2-4 years in Calibration roles
- Knowledge of computer applications (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint). Experience developing calibration test methods on different magnitudes.
- B2 English level
