The Position

Facilitate strategic decision-making for portfolio and pipeline optimization through in-depth analysis and prioritization. Provide actionable recommendations based on local market insights while collaborating with key areas such as DAS, Medical, Access, Clinical Operations, RWE generation, Finance, Public Policy, and Regulatory to accelerate the access of new products and indications to health systems.

The Opportunity

Responsibilities: 

• Perform the Pipeline Analysis in all therapeutic areas from 36 to 18 months prior to product registration and establish an outlook/Timeline of potential launches of new indications and new Molecular Entities in the next 3-5 years.

• Provide a recommendation and a strategic Rationale on prioritized launches based on a deep understanding on the TA in terms of market potential, competition, unmet need and current therapies available at a Government level.

• Guide the affiliate on resource allocation needed to ensure successful Launch Readiness in the next 3- years.

• Identify the key barriers / opportunities to establish a strategic Plan by working closely with Medical, Corporate Affairs and the Squads when applicable.

• Network with Pipeline & Portfolio Lead from other countries globally in different projects to take advantage of synergies.

• Active participation in the implementation of the new ways of working in the affiliate with focus on patient benefit and in the implementation of key mindsets (Growth, Enterprise, Enabler, Digital & Value Creation) across the affiliate.

Who you are

• Life Science degree (Science excellence is a must) and fluency in Spanish and English is required.

• 10+ years’ professional experience in the pharmaceutical/ biotechnology industry or related experience with a broad mix of experience in product management, strategic planning, market research, and/or financial analysis within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.

• Demonstrated effective leading of cross-functional teams, and delivering cross-disciplinary processes.

• Extensive and solid experience in product strategy, specially in the development and launch of new products, commercial, business development, or related field of the biotechnology/ pharmaceutical industry.

• Familiarity with the Central America and the Caribbean environment and healthcare system.
