The Traveler Business Team has a mission to deliver the most convenient, rewarding, and memorable ways for people to travel and explore the world. This division has responsibility to build and drive the growth of our global consumer business across our Expedia, Hotels.com, Vrbo, and Portfolio brands, and across all our lines of businesses including Hotels, Vacation Rentals, Air, Car, Packages, and Insurtech.

Senior Manager, Business Performance Insights – Expedia Lodging & Portfolio

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Business Performance Insights to join the Expedia & Portfolio team at Expedia Group. This role will be responsible for generating business performance insights for Expedia Lodging, which is the largest and fastest growing business in the Expedia portfolio, and our Portfolio brands (Travelocity, Orbitz, Hotwire, Cheaptickets, Wotif, eBookers and CarRentals.com).

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the surging travel industry and help drive the business forward while working on impactful and complex problems. You will partner closely with Finance, Analytics, Marketing, Product & Tech and Supply teams to create compelling business performance insights to help Expedia & Portfolio brands win in the marketplace. 

What you’ll do:  

  • Own analysis of key site metrics (e.g., traffic, conversion, GBV, cancellations, take rate, GP) across multiple dimensions such as Brand, Geo, Experience (or platform), Channel, and Line of Business

  • Set annual performance targets, linked with strategic initiatives, and reforecast the targets regularly in close partnership with Finance and business leads

  • Monitor and drive performance towards those targets, including by optimizing spend allocation and by identifying short- and long-term underlying drivers of performance

  • Prepare and deliver communications via differing vehicles, ensuring various audiences (including VP+) have the right level of detail

  • Establish trusted working relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g. Finance, Marketing, Analytics) and build rapport to become a trusted advisor

Who you are:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience; Master’s degree preferred

  • 8+ years of experience in business management, ecommerce, analytics or financial planning within the travel and/or tech industry

  • Strong understanding of financial metrics, forecasting, and budgeting

  • Very strong analytical and problem solving skills, with ability to generate key insights and actions for the business

  • Ability to influence and collaborate with various levels of the organization

  • Experience in Microsoft Excel, SQL and Tableau preferred

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $155,000.00 to $217,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $248,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
