We are seeking an experienced and motivated Specialist, IT Operations to join our dynamic team in the Centre of IT Services (CITS). The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing all server related needs for faculty, staff and researchers in the Nanyang Business School (NBS), while ensuring compliance with CITS' IT policies. Key Responsibilities:

Oversee infrastructure/system operations in Nanyang Business School (NBS)   

• Ensure that all programs and department operations run seamlessly.

• Manage the implementation of infrastructure changes and maintenance routines as agreed upon.

• Contribute to the design and implementation of infrastructure replacement plans.

• Assist the IT operations (Server) of Graduate Programmes, Research Centers, Academic Divisions, Alumni, Career Services, and Corporate Communications.

• Manage infrastructure operations activities and installation of infrastructure systems according to design specifications.

• Manage the budget and costing for maintenance, operation, and upgrading of facilities.

Oversee service level agreements and service improvements, and other areas

• Oversee IT operations (Server) supporting and collaborating with the teams, and contributing to the strategic alignment of technology initiatives with organizational goals.

• Manage the development of service-level objectives and targets, monitoring these objectives to ensure that requirements are met or exceeded.

• Develop client satisfaction metrics and service procedures, constantly reviewing and analyzing these metrics to propose recommendations to improve performance and client satisfaction.

Oversee Server management, storage area and Vendor management

• File server folder management.

• Server patches and security compliance.

• Manage and maintain CITS audit/policy requirements.

• Work with vendors on security issue related to applications, and update applications if needed.

Requirements:

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in server and system operations.

• Strong technical expertise in Windows operating systems, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).

• Good working knowledge of server and system security, backup and recovery, and hardware maintenance will be an added advantage.

• Experience with shared storage and enterprise networking technologies.

• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.

• Proficiency in providing end-user support for Windows and Mac OS based computers.

• Experience in administering Windows-based servers.

• Ability to troubleshoot PC hardware issues.

• Familiarity with network and cybersecurity concepts.

• Strong team player with the ability to demonstrate leadership when required.

• Good oral and written communication skills.
