Role Purpose

​Serve as product owner for a key segment of the Voyager Health platform, ensuring a superlative end-user experience that supports optimum delivery of veterinary care and client engagement. Examples of segments that may be assigned are user authentication and security, organizational configuration tools, prescription management, pharmaceutical formulary management, and diagnostic results entry and review.

Utilize design thinking, growth hacking, and client lifecycle insights to deliver continuous refinement of the product using agile methodologies.  

Collaborate closely with other product managers and technical leads to ensure solutions are holistic, innovative and practical.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Lives and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.  Aligns with our Mars Petcare Purpose of A Better World for Pets. 
  • Establish and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to support identification of end-user pain points and development of user experiences that meet consumer and professional audience needs.
  • Create and gain business alignment on roadmaps and prioritization for digital products and ensure alignment with other products within digital ecosystem.
  • Ensure feature prioritization that supports rapid launch, test, refine cycles; tracks rates and cost of delivery.
  • Develop strategies, programs, tests, and ongoing monitoring methods to support development and optimization of digital client experiences; leverage insight from client research, surveys, and best practices to inform the processes.
  • Maintain familiarity with digital industry trends and digital user experience developments.
  • Provide leadership to a delivery team and direction to a strategic vendor partner to uphold Banfield best practices and guidelines for planning and delivery work.
  • Track run rates and costs for delivery to partner with Banfield business partners on understanding the cost for delivery to inform returns and value.
  • Collaborates with business leaders and managers to create clear outcomes, project scope approach, and business case. Determines and recommends concept as a project or enhancements.
  • Participates in the benefit evaluation process of the delivered solution to continually gain user feedback and ensure the final product delivers on desired business need.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Special Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time. 
  • Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
  • Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
  • Environment where pets are present.

Experience, Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in ​Innovation, Client Research, Technology, Data/Science, Business, Pharmacy is required. Master’s Degree/PhD/DVM, or PharmD is preferred.
  • ​​10 years’ of experience in Digital Product Management, Business Analyst, and Business Development is required.
  • Digital product and innovation management experience is required.
  • Agile Certified Product Owner is preferred.
  • Data and customer analysis experience, cross-functional process management experience is required.
  • Health care background (veterinary or human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.) is preferred.

Salary: $ 118,796 - 178,193
