SUMMARY

As a Product Marketing Engineer, you will be responsible for product marketing and business development activities focusing on magnetic position and speed sensor Integrated Circuits (ICs) in China. You will work closely with Allegro marketing and systems engineers, field sales and application engineers, Allegro’s distribution partners and with industry leading customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate product roadmaps and strategies to Allegro’s internal sales teams as well as distribution and channel partners in China.

  • Promote Allegro’s position and speed sensor products to major customers in China.

  • Create Chinese language marketing collateral and sales tools required to support broad market promotion of our ICs, train Allegro’s sales team on these new products

  • Provide inputs on requirements for products tailored to support Chinese customers.

  • Identify markets and segments, develop specifications for new products required to penetrate these markets, and define Allegro's future magnetic position and speed sensor product roadmaps.

  • Achieve corporate goals related to revenue & margin dollar growth, product kick-offs and release-to-market (RTM). In your role you will work on IC development activities from product concept through RTM. You will be a key contributor towards the achievement of overall development cycle time, revenue, and profit margin goals.

  • Secure design wins, manage quoting and customer forecast activities for the China market, and deliver long term revenue and margin growth for the Magnetic Position and Speed Sensor Business Units.

This role will likely involve up to 25% domestic travel to support customers throughout China and occasional international travel.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • BSEE/MSEE or equivalent and at least 5~10 years of experience in a similar marketing and business development role.

  • Solid understanding of analog or digital electronics and the semiconductor development process is essential in this position.

  • MBA or engineering management degree is preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to make clear technical and business-related presentations both to external customers and to Allegro's Senior Management Staff.

  • Understand complex technical information and communicate it to external customers at various levels of their organization (e.g. front-line engineers, purchasing, senior management, etc.) and in-house development teams.

  • Fluency in both English and Chinese is required.
