About IDEXX

7,000 people. One global purpose: enhancing the health and well-being of pets, people, and livestock.

We are passionate about what we do — and it shows. From raising the standard of care for pets, to ensuring safe drinking water worldwide and protecting livestock health, our work truly matters. Across IDEXX, you’ll feel an energy that’s contagious: caring, committed people working together to make a difference.

Are you looking to join a vibrant, international team where teamwork, quality, and customer care come first? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy being the trusted point of contact for customers? Then this role might be for you.

The Role

Due to our rapidly growing international customer base, we are looking for a Customer Support Consultant to join IDEXX-Animana.

In this role, you will provide phone and email support to customers in Dutch and English, acting as a true one-stop shop and the face of our company. Accuracy and structure are key — you will work with a CRM system daily, where precise and consistent ticket handling is essential to ensure high-quality service and clear communication.

You will support, guide, and advise veterinary clinics on how to use our practice management software efficiently and intelligently. Together with your colleagues, you’ll act as a trusted business partner for our customers, with a genuine interest in their daily operations and long-term success. You are also a strong internal voice for customer feedback and continuous improvement.

Software means change — updates, new features, and evolving ways of working. You are not afraid of change, but instead see it as an opportunity to learn, adapt, and help customers move forward with confidence.

You’ll work in an informal, supportive environment with a strong focus on teamwork and knowledge sharing. New ideas and initiatives are encouraged, and we’ll help you bring out the best in yourself — all with a dog at your feet in our dog-friendly office.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide customer support via phone and email

  • Handle tickets accurately and consistently in our CRM

  • Guide customers on the use of IDEXX-Animana

  • Help clinics work smarter and more efficiently with our solutions

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and share customer insights

  • Support change by guiding customers through software updates and improvements

Who You Are

  • You are passionate about helping customers and solving problems

  • You value strong, long-term customer relationships

  • You communicate confidently with people from different backgrounds and levels

  • You enjoy working in a team and believe in open, clear communication

  • You are comfortable working with software and digital tools

  • You work accurately and take ownership of your tickets and follow-ups

  • You are flexible and adaptable in a fast-changing software environment

  • Basic financial knowledge is a plus, as it helps you better understand customer workflows

  • Fluent in Dutch and English

  • Knowledge of the German language is a bonus

Nice to Have

  • Experience in veterinary practice or with practice management software

  • If not, a strong affinity with animals and animal health is welcome

Practical Details

  • You’ll work 2 days per week from our office in Hoofddorp

  • Other days can be worked from the office or from home

  • Salary of EUR 39,500 to 48,000

Why You’ll Love This Job

  • You make a real impact – helping veterinary clinics care better for animals, every single day.

  • You’re a trusted partner, not just a support desk. Your advice and training truly matter.

  • Variety keeps it fun – no two days are the same in a fast-moving software environment.

  • You grow with us – learning, adapting, and evolving as our software does.

  • Teamwork is everything – supportive colleagues, open communication, and shared wins.

  • Flexibility included – hybrid working and a culture built on trust.

  • Work with heart (and dogs) – a great atmosphere, room for ideas, and sometimes a dog at your feet
