Job Description Summary:

As the Director, Financial Services Business Operations, you will work alongside the Debit & Money Management Commercial leads to define growth opportunities for these products that ladder into the Consumer business unit strategy as well as provide the business operations support to run the business. You will demonstrate operational excellence in creating and streamlining processes to operate the suite of products in the Financial Services Group – including running weekly business operations cadences to monitor product performance and create action plans to address gaps in meeting the financial plan. This role requires a variety of skills to work across a matrixed organization of teams that range from strategy and customer research to financial p&l management, business insights, risk and customer support teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and be able to span the breadth of strategic thinking to attention to details on operational metrics.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Debit & Money Management Commercial leadership to define and drive a strategic vision, along with driving OKR/goals planning and tracking.  
  • Work with Business Insights team to proactively monitor commercial performance versus projections.
  • Evolve team operating model including processes to enable strategic planning along with identify opportunities for simplification, quality, and productivity improvement
  • Run cross-functional business operations meetings to deep dive, troubleshoot and action on variances to target
  • Drive the daily monitoring of business performance across the organization.
  • Coordinate and run business cadences such as Weekly and Monthly business reviews
  • Maintain a repository of competitive intelligence and stay informed of the latest trends
  • Be the voice of the customer’s needs by spending time with customers, local market leads, sales, and support to synthesize their feedback and market trends.
  • Work with Commercial leads and customer research teams to conduct customer research on future growth ideas
  • Partner with Commercial leads to synthesize the business strategy for Debit & Money Management to ladder into the overall Consumer Business Strategy.
  • Manage a team of 3 direct reports.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of proven success in operating roles in consumer products.
  • Experience building and running business operations teams
  • Strong communication, listening, interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytics skills and ability to leverage multiple dashboards to derive business insights
  • Ability to convey important messages in a concise manner
  • Ability to operate with ambiguity in a new and expanding area of the business
  • Ability to ramp up on new areas of responsibility quickly
  • Ability to think strategically while providing tactical support to implement ideas.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial insights to validate and inform future opportunities.
  • Prior experiences leading teams
  • Ideally has financial services expertise
  • Ideally has experience scaling a product from early stage to high growth

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $118,700 to $246,290
